About WarmCore Homes
Where do you install?
We can install anywhere in the UK (including Northern Ireland and the Isle of Wight).
Warmcore Homes is part of the GFD Group, and we have been trading online since 2008. In that time we have transformed and secured thousands of homes across the UK.
Do you have any local installations I can take a look at?
Unfortunately it is company policy that we respect our customers privacy, hence we do not give out any addresses we have installed at. If you would like to see images of the doors installed, please refer to our online gallery.
Do you have showrooms?
No, we are an online company so our website is our showroom! By eliminating showrooms and salesmen we can offer you a discounted price compared to traditional window companies, whilst providing the exact same products and guarantees.
I have never heard of you before - can I trust Warmcore Homes?
The Warmcore product is a new product to the market, but we have been around for a long time. Click here to see learn more about the GFD group and our network of companies.

About Our Products
What is Warmcore?
Warmcore is a cutting edge aluminium product that is relatively new to the market. You can find out more about the specifics of the a href=”/warmcore-explained/”>product here.
How secure are the doors?
Our bi-fold doors have a custom designed 5 point locking system with 3 hook locks and
twin shoot bolts. These engage fully into the top and bottom tracks, so there is no risk of intruders ‘toe and heeling’ the sash from the outside. The doors are PAS24 accredited and can be Secured by Design standard, with laminated glass available as an upgrade option.
Why should I choose aluminium over uPVC bi-folds?
Aluminium is a much more durable product than uPVC, which can potentially discolour and degrade over a period of years. Aluminium doors also have a much ‘cleaner’ look as the frame of uPVC will be at least 70mm thick, resulting in a bulkier finish. Aluminium products are for this reason the favoured choice of architects, property developers and customers looking to add a modern, sleek product to their home.
Is the glass double or triple glazed?
Can I have a bespoke colour?
Unfortunately not, but we do offer four of the industry’s most popular RAL colours.
What makes Warmcore different to other aluminium windows and doors?
The key difference is our ‘warm aluminium’ technology. We use a PVC core in between the aluminium casing which acts a thermal break, resulting in highly improved energy efficiency. This has always been the ‘achilles heel’ of traditional aluminium windows and doors, as aluminium itself is a poor conductor. You may be familiar with this if you have had aluminium windows or doors i the past, i.e. cold to the touch, and a cold chill around the windows compared to other parts of the room). Warmcore has eliminated this issue.
Can I have a different colour on each side?
Yes, we offer this at no extra cost.
How can I get a quote?
You can use our online door designer to get an instant price. The price quoted will include Vat and installation, no matter where you are based in the UK. You can also request an email copy of your quotation for future reference.
Can I order the doors supply only?
Do you supply to the trade direct?
How do I place my order?
Once you have used the designer to build your door and reveal your price, you can add this to the basket and order securely online. Alternatively you can follow a secure link from your quote email to order online. If you would rather speak to one our team and order over the phone, feel free to give us a call on 01429 874 532.
Do I need to measure the doors before ordering?
All we ask for is a rough measurement of your brick opening size. This does not have to be exact, but it will ensure we can show you the design options available to you. Our surveyor will take all the exact measurements for you at the site survey.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
We only ask for a £60 deposit when you place your order – we will then send out our surveyor to carry out your home survey.
Do you offer a finance option?
Yes, we offer an interest free finance option over 12 months. You can apply for this when you place your order.
When do I pay the remaining balance?
The remaining balance is split into two equal payments; the first payment is taken when we order the doors (we contact you after the site survey to confirm your order) and the final payment is taken once the job is completed and signed off.
Are my payments secure?
100% – all payments are processed secretly through SagePay, the UK’s leading online merchant bank. All card details are securely encrypted through SagePay.
Are your fitters FENSA registered or accredited by a similar governing body?
Yes, your installers are certified members of the Assure Competent Person Scheme.
Where do you offer installation?
We have a network of 18 installation branches dotted throughout the UK, so we offer installation nationwide (including Northern Ireland and the Isle of Wight).
Do I need to be there for the survey?
Yes, we ask that you are present when the surveyor attends, even if we are installing into a newly prepared opening. If nobody is present at the agreed time a re-survey will be scheduled at an additional cost.
Can you fit on Saturdays?
Unfortunately not, we can only offer installation Monday-Friday.
Can you move doorbells/wires?
Unfortunately our installers are not insured to do any electric work, which includes anything related to doorbells, lights, wires or mains cables. If any work of this nature is required it must be undertook by a professional and arranged at your own discretion. Please refer to our purchase agreement for full details of our installation service.
What is the lead time from ordering to installation?
Lead time from order to installation is between 3-6 weeks. This depends on your geographical location and the volume of work your local branch has.
Do you use sub-contractors?
No, we employ a large nationwide installation company who handle all of our survey and installation work exclusively. All staff are uniformed, accredited and directly employed for your peace of mind.
For impartial feedback on the quality of our installation service, please take a look at our customer reviews.
How long does the installation take?
Every installation is different depending on the pretty, but as a rough guide;
> doors and French doors are typically half a day
> Bi-folds are typically 3/4 to a full working day depending on the size
Will you take my old door away?
Yes, we will remove your old door and dispose of it for you at no extra cost. If you do wish to keep your old door for any reason we must be notified in writing so that we can make the fitting team aware.
Will you make good any damage to brickwork or plaster?
Yes, we will make good any inevitable damage that occurs when the old frame is removed. Please note making good does not include painting or decorating of any kind – please refer to our purchase agreement for a full breakdown of what is included.
